Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as morning news anchor and the crime reporter at WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of response of the police towards DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor as well as a weekday correspondent. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC.
